We all know that Texan is a big state.  But that has never stopped a Lone Star resident from driving from one side to the other. And when they decide to cruise out of Galveston, no matter where they live in the Great State, they load the family in the car and head down I-45 South.

Here’s a list of the top five hotels on the island that are offering shuttle services:

The Tremont House

2300 Ship’s Mechanic Row

409-763-0300

Free Shuttle to the Port

If you have ever been to Galveston before, as many Texans have, The Tremont House is a great place to stay pre-cruise. The Tremont House is located in the historic district of Galveston and is located so close to the Port that some cruisers will walk the three blocks to the debarkation point. However, if you park at the hotel, which is located at the Galvez Hotel, the shuttle will take you to the port for free.

Inn at the Waterpark

2525 Jones Drive

409-740-1155

Parking Package with Shuttle

This hotel is a great stay for families. Located as part of the Schlitterbahn Water Park, you and your kids can get a head start on your holiday. Inn on the Waterfront offers a parking package with transportation to the port that is included in your night stay.
